An excellent upper limb non-contrast MR angiogram image done at uMR 3T with FINE (Flow Independent, Non-Contrast Enhanced) technology would exhibit high resolution and clear visualization of the arteries in the upper limb without the use of contrast agents. The image would showcase detailed arterial anatomy, including the brachial, radial, ulnar, and interosseous arteries, with precise delineation of their branching patterns and any potential abnormalities such as stenosis or aneurysms. The FINE technology would ensure robust arterial signal and minimal background noise, resulting in superior image quality for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. #UIH #uMR #Passionforchange #MRI #angio #noncontrast. This MRA cow, acquired on a below 0.4T MRI system, may lack the sleekness of high-field images, but its diagnostic value is undeniable. Despite lower magnetic field strength, it offers critical insights into vascular anatomy, aiding in diagnoses with efficiency and reliability. Beauty lies not only in aesthetics but also in utility and accuracy. #MRI #MagneticResonanceImaging #DiagnosticRadiology #MedicalTechnology #openmri

Musculoskeletal radiologist with passion for Dynamic MRI for joints and sports imaging ACADEMIC AFFILIATE @ international weight bearing ct scan society
Mid carpal stability, scapholunate dissociation, and ligament tears can now be assessed in less than a minute using dynamic MRI. Previously, fluoroscopy and stress x-ray were used, but with the introduction of 2D Hyce, this assessment can be done quickly and efficiently. Stay tuned for my next post, where I will share how mid dorsal tilt can be assessed in a sagittal dynamic sequence. #MRI #medicalimaging #healthcaretechnology Parbhash .k

With its powerful magnetic fields, it unveils intricate details of our internal anatomy without a hint of #radiation, making it a go-to choice, especially for delicate #brain examinations, #spine and #joints. But here's the kicker – it's not always the knight in shining armor! In the fast-paced realm of emergency medicine, where every moment counts, #ultrasound and #CTscans steal the show. These methods swiftly detect internal injuries or rule critical conditions, offering rapid insights compared to the time-consuming nature of #MRI scans. So, next time you hear someone singing praises solely for MRIs, remember, it's not always about being the best – it's about being the best fit for the task at hand. 16/4/2024. 💪 Pseudodefect of the capitellum. An abrupt contour change of the posterolateral margin of capitellum on coronal sections, a potential MRI pitfall. It occurs because the width of the articular surface is non-uniform and gradually tapers posteriorly. DD: OCDefect. 😀 #MSK #MRI #variantsofanatomy More in: https://lnkd.in/deFcZ7r6

MRI can scrutinize nearly every body part, offering highly detailed images of soft tissues such as the brain. However, areas filled with air or dense bone appear black on MRI scans as they do not emit an MRI signal. Different tissues, like bone marrow, spinal fluid, blood, and soft tissues, exhibit varying intensities on the scan, ranging from black to white. This variance depends on the water and fat content in each tissue and the scan's machine settings. By comparing the sizes and patterns of these light and dark areas, the radiologist assesses tissue health.
