Dear Mr. Shyam, its quite a comprehensive and insightful stuff. Based my past experience with logistics, its inevitably important to optimise and choose right designs/solutions for business processes i.e. LastMile, Full Truck Load deliveries..etc, to stay competitive and relevant based customers needs. You rightly indicated - "key KPIs for measuring success.." is indeed the key factor for deriving success and accountability in this business.

Another discretion I would like to add is the implementation partner/team. It may be a great solution to buy or the decision could be to build, but, what if we do not have a key partner or a savvy team that will make it happen. I am encountering both these days and failed implementations and lost technical team and hence thought of acknowledging this key prong to the overall premise.

Good read, my pov - In coming years we could see emergence of large SaaS providers with customization on the tap. Ideally we should be able to tweak an existing SaaS set up for customized requirements to the same extent as custom developed app.
