Many of us don’t spend enough time investing in ourselves. Whether that’s making time for your well-being, self development or setting yourself career goals. Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending a ‘Wise Woman’ event at the Allbright club with Maria Hatzistefanis, Founder and CEO of Rodial Beauty, and the master of a “make it happen” attitude. Her talk about entrepreneurship, leadership, career journey and making time for herself, even while building her business from the ground up was inspirational. A few of my favourite takeaways that really resonated with me: 💪Building your personal brand and telling a story about what makes us different is key and worth the investment of your time 👩👦Everyone you meet can teach you something, so make the time to network 🏆Hire people better than you 🙏 Stop striving for perfection, it holds you back. Just get started, iterate, learn, improve 💡Just give what you have that day to whatever it is you’re doing and don’t beat yourself up. If today you only have 40% in you, give 40% because it’s your 100% today - and that’s ok In business it’s easy to get consumed by the day to day. That’s why making time to attend events like yesterday and networking with some incredible women is so important. Had the amazing opportunity to co-host a session with Jessica Marati Radparvar of Reconsidered on #purpose led-careers.— I believe that the distinction between #career and #life is often fallacious. Drawing inspo from the Inner Development Goals, which I so love, I did what Jessica calls a “wisdom drop.” #wellbeing Laid out the following questions as food for thought:   ✨Looking "inward", what problem(s) / issue(s) in the world do you care about most or what causes speak to you?  Why? (for me, it’s oft about how I grew up - ideas / preconceived notions, culture, circumstances, #visceral experiences) ✨What is the scope of impact you'd like to have?  (personal / familial, local / national, global) (inspired by the KIND Quiz, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation) ✨Which #stakeholders - personal or professional - matter to you; and why? (for me, my children are huge ones but I hesitate to say that lest it be used to limit my career potential … I ask myself what life Id like to create w/them)  ✨Which obstacles or barriers do you face in serving or supporting them?  In building relationships with them?  ✨In your career to date, where or when have you learnt more?  What would you like to learn going forward?
