Clocking out doesn’t always mean you’re in ‘rest mode’. Rest isn’t just the absence of work — it’s active, engaging, and comes in many forms. Did you know there are SEVEN different types of rest we need to truly feel refreshed? If you’re still feeling tired after a ‘relaxing’ activity, maybe you need a different kind of rest. Or perhaps your mind isn’t switched off (yes, drafting emails in your head on holiday doesn’t count as rest). Let’s listen to what our bodies really need, instead of powering through fatigue. After all, rest is how we care for ourselves. Here’s to prioritizing restorative rest and feeling truly refreshed! 🌿 https://lnkd.in/d_wSvTjG #takeabreak #RibbitFYI #mentalhealthmatters #rest

"I once worked with a client who ignored the signs her body was giving her—headaches, fatigue, and restless nights. She chalked it up to being 'just busy' and powered through. But one day, her body had enough, and burnout hit hard, forcing her to take weeks off work. She later told me, 'I wish I’d listened sooner.' That experience became a turning point. Together, we focused on reconnecting with her body’s cues—learning to rest when she felt the first signs of fatigue, prioritize what truly mattered, and set boundaries that supported her well-being. She now calls those early signals her 'check engine light' and responds to them before the problem grows. This story is a reminder for all of us: your body is your greatest asset, and it’s always communicating. Ignoring small signals can lead to bigger challenges down the road. What’s one way you can tune into your body’s needs today, and honor the balance it’s asking for? #LeadershipAndWellness #PreventBurnout #MindfulLeadership #MentalHealthMatters #WorkLifeBalance #SelfAwareness #Resilience #CareerGrowth #HolisticWellness

In the rush to get everything done, we often forget how important it is to slow down and recharge. If we don’t make time for rest, life has a way of stepping in — and not always in the kindest way. ✨ Burnout and stress are just our body’s way of telling us to take a break. Rest when able, because waiting too long can come at a cost. 🧘♂️ The good news is, we have the power to choose. By making rest and self-care a regular part of our routine, we can stay balanced and avoid hitting that wall. 💪 Prioritizing downtime isn't a luxury, it’s a necessity. 🕒 #restandrecharge #preventburnout #healthyhabits #mindfulliving #mentalhealthmatters

You’d be surprised how much a smile can do. On days when I’m feeling low or just caught up in the daily grind, I’ve noticed that forcing a little smile—just for a moment—helps me feel a bit better. It’s like how we straighten our posture to feel more confident, except this time, it’s for our mood. I remember one day I was overwhelmed with work and felt drained. Instead of letting the stress take over, I tried something small—I smiled. It felt odd at first, but something shifted. My mood lightened, and the stress felt less heavy. I wasn’t magically happy, but that small action made a big difference. Of course, this isn’t about forcing yourself to smile through hard times. When you’re grieving, upset, or facing something tough, it’s important to let yourself feel it. But on those regular days, when things just seem off, a smile can be a tiny reminder to yourself that things can get better. It’s a little act of kindness for yourself—and sometimes, that’s all you need. Give it a try. 😊 #MentalHealthMatters #BoostYourMood #PositiveVibesOnly #SmilingThroughIt #SaturdaySelfCare #WeekendVibes #HappinessHack #WellnessJourney #MindsetShift #SimpleJoys #MoodBooster #SmallChangesBigImpact

There is so much noise. I definitely fall into the trap. Constant scrolling. (Hi, friend!😊) Always having to be listening to something or watching something. Heck, when I am not online, I have my nose in a book. But lately, I have found that it is wrecking my nervous system and leaving me feeling empty. Training my brain to want more-more-more-more. This week, I made a commitment to myself to be more present and let my nervous system have a break and heal. So far, I have: -Had a sweet conversation with my husband that led to both of us feeling like we want more of this intentional-level interaction with each other. -Completed more work tasks, stepping into the best version of corporate me and hearing some great feedback (e.g. "This is genius.") -Cuddled with my sick kiddo, just focused on breathing in and out and soaking in the moment. I am enjoying having less noise and more purpose-driven moments. #fiveives #nervoussystem #regulation #health #wellness #burnoutprevention

Do you often get to the end of the day feeling a bit wired, or exhausted and yet still unable to switch off? Have you moved your body in a flowing, undulating, intuitive way today or has it all been to-do lists, meetings and working at your computer so far? If you haven't, this is your cue! It's nearly lunch time when I'm sharing this, so take a few minutes on your lunch break to shake things up! (Or, you can totally do this at your desk right now!) Pop on your headphones, hop over to Spotify or your streaming preference, put on a gentle song you like, close your eyes and move your body in ways that feel good. Do some shoulder shrugs and head rolls. Put your hands on your body and give yourself a massage. Take some deep breaths and sigh on exhale - let it all out. Shake your body a little, like you're shaking off the day so far. Undulate your spine and your pelvis. Connect with yourself, bring your awareness inwards, be compassionate with yourself. When the song stops, keep going if you want to, or, move on with your day with some more space in your system. You're welcome. 💖 #womeninbusiness #womenleadership #wellbeing #mentalhealth #embodiment #stress #burnout #bestadvice #personaldevelopment
