When I was in 8th Std I was always watching my dad read lot of non fiction self help books. Academically his education was till 10th Std but he always used to gain his knowledge from reading books. He used to share stories, message, principles. I always loved the way he shared things with example. From there onwards slowly I picked up the habit of reading books. My dad says you reading book is like you borrowing the brain of the author and learning from their experiences. You may not have the direct access to millionaires or billionaires to understand the principles of success but you always have the possibility to access their resources & knowledge by reading books. Let me know what is your recent book you completed in the comments #selfhelpbooks #reading #growth

An insightful and actionable article from #NordAngliaEducation
"How many times do you get to the end of a page in a book, or a work document, and realise you cannot remember a word you’ve read? It happens to us all. Here’s the good news; your awareness that it’s happening is an example of metacognition—thinking about your own thinking—in action. And good metacognitive skills can help you learn and retain more." What are your go-to summer reads? As we approach summer, hopefully most of us have the opportunity to find a little time away from the office and for me I am looking forward to a few days relaxing and reading a good book. I have a passion for reading books and lean towards those that provide information or would be considered self-improvement. I love learning and find it energising and motivating. I have so many favourites but a couple that I am going to re-read are: - The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People - Atomic Habits My current book is: - The 12 Week Year What types of books do you like to read? Fiction, non-fiction, self-help, something else? Drop some recommendations in the comments. #HolidayMode #LinkedInNewsUK #Reading #VidgeonPropertySolutions

Happy to share that I challenged myself to read more books in 2021 and have been able to stick to it ever since! My reading list includes a mix of non-fiction and fiction, and I still have a long list of books that I want to read. Recently, I finished reading Atomic Habits by James Clear. It helped me understand how small habits can lead to big changes in our lives. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to make positive changes. Next on my list is Hidden Potential by Adam Grant. What books are on your reading list for 2024? Please share the books that you are excited to read in the comments below! #readingchallenge
