🎉🌱 The Biden Administration has once again underscored its commitment to environmental stewardship and economic growth through the latest EPA regulations on vehicle emissions. This monumental step is aimed at accelerating the shift towards electric vehicles (EVs), a move that aligns perfectly with the administration's ambitious climate change legislation like #IRA and #BIL. 🌱🎉 🔍 Under these groundbreaking rules, EVs are expected to constitute up to 56% of new passenger vehicle sales from 2030 to 2032, hitting a target set by President Biden back in 2021. This is not just a win for the environment but a massive stride towards securing America's leadership in the clean car and truck manufacturing realm. 🇺🇸🔌 💡 Combined with significant investments in battery and EV manufacturing, these regulations pave the way for a future where the U.S. breaks free from fossil fuel dependency in transportation. It's a clear signal that the U.S. is ready to lead by example, with American workers at the forefront of this clean manufacturing revolution. 🛠️💡 🌿 The new standards will drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants, promising nearly $100 billion in annual benefits, including significant health benefits from cleaner air. This move is a testament to the administration's holistic approach to tackling climate change, emphasizing not just environmental but also health and economic gains. 🌿💰 🔋 While some concerns remain about EV #affordability and the pace of #infrastructure #development, the administration's policies are designed to narrow these gaps, offering consumers savings on fuel, maintenance, and repairs. It's a forward-thinking strategy that anticipates and addresses the challenges of transitioning to a cleaner automotive future. 🔋💼 🚀 Let's celebrate this pivotal moment in our journey towards a more sustainable and prosperous future. The road ahead is electric, and together, we're charging towards a brighter, cleaner world. 🚀🌎 #BidenAdministration #ClimateAction #ElectricVehicles #EPA #CleanTech #FutureIsElectric #MadeInAmerica https://lnkd.in/gvXTnVmw
Can we talk about nuclear energy? EVs are a system and all aspects of the system need to be considered. Regardless of EVs, moving to Nuclear will have a more substantial impact on minimizing emissions.
How durable are these new limits on emissions? Can a future administration that doesn’t share the same policy goals rewrite the rules? Under President Trump, the EPA rolled back limits on carbon dioxide emissions from power plants and from passenger vehicles.
We will see...
Wish you good luck

7moAgreed. We just added a 2nd EV to our family. For close to 3 years, we were only driving the Bolt EUV. What's troubling to me, however, is that I am the target: a Midwest mom of 2. As I work in tech and tend to be an early adopter, I took it upon myself to learn everything about EV tech, how to live with an EV, charging, cold weather, etc. The information available to consumers is still confusing, not streamlined and challenging. The car manufacturers have a long way to go in assisting the everyday consumer with understanding EV tech. But, as I mentioned to Andrew Nethery and Daniel Pierce, Our Next Energy (ONE) can assist with this education, even if it is B2B. ⚡ 💪 🔋
