Research shows that people who write down their goals are up to 40%+ more likely to achieve them. If you take the same approach to your doctor’s appointments you are likely to get better results too. Here are a couple of tips to make the most of your appointments. 1) Write out your questions in advance and be as specific as possible. Use the data you have collected in your tracker to remember your symptoms and share insights you may already have. 2) Be forthcoming with your doctor even if it feels embarrassing - this will help ensure that important items about your health are not overlooked. 3) Take detailed notes about what you was discussed and what decisions were made. 4) Ask your doctor to explain the decisions they are recommending about your care. 5) Come out of your appointment with a have a plan of action including specific next steps. Remember that you are the best excerpt on you so feel confident about what you are experiencing and asking for help. All of the actions above will help make you the best advocate for yourself. You both need it and deserve it! #womenshealth #empowerment #datafirst
