Today is LGBTQ+ Equal Pay Awareness Day! We know that members of the LGBTQ+ community face higher rates of workplace discrimination, lower wages, and have fewer economic opportunities. However, due to a startling lack of data and research in the U.S., we do not fully understand the depth of these issues, the ways in which specific populations are being impacted, and how the intersection of different marginalized identities compounds the barriers people are facing.
