In line with its precedent the ASA ruled against an advertiser who ran a prize draw to win backstage passes but on the day the backstage experience advertised (including riding on an artist's buggy) was not available. Promotors are responsible for all stages of a promo, so even if it's not your fault the talent refused to meet the competition winner the ASA will still find the ad in breach. Always key to ensure that you've got contractual remedies in place. It was really interesting to read this with my PopUp Painting hat on. We've definitely noticed a big jump in activity in the last few months, getting close to (and sometimes exceeding) our 2019 levels, particularly at The London Art Bar. The narrative that team building activities are even more important now given the decline of in-person working definitely resonates with our surge in corporate activity. (Although I guess sometimes that's offset by fewer people in the city centres to join public events) Two things that are really interesting but I don't think we've explored fully: firstly, these activities really do seem to still be attractive to non-drinkers, even when we talk about them as 'painting and prosecco' (and similar) in our case. And secondly, to what extent is the 'competitive' the appeal? From the perspective of our events, the fact that they're *not competitive* seems to be one of the big appeals. Leading the pack is William Morris Endeavor (WME) with a commanding 17%. But the surprise twist? MAC Agency steps into the spotlight, securing an impressive 8% of bookings—a testament to their rising clout in the industry. IAG ties with MAC Agency with 8%. Diving into the diversity pool, a hefty 34% of the lineup is the domain of ‘Others’—which are both other agencies, as well as artist teams who handle bookings in-house. And how about Lyfandfriends? They come in at 4%. Then there’s the familiar force of CAA (5%), UTA (13%), and Wasserman (7%) - continuing to showcase their industry prowess by representing top-tier talent that lights up the stage year after year. From established giants to indie powerhouses, this year’s Rolling Loud is a symphony conducted by a diverse array of maestros, all harmonizing to the beat of the world’s biggest hip-hop festival.
