🚗🏥 Exciting Announcement: 'Learn to Drive, Learn CPR' Initiative Launch! 🚗🏥 May 31, 2023 Announcements We are thrilled to introduce the groundbreaking collaboration between the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and the European Driving Schools Association (EFA) – 'Learn to Drive, Learn CPR'! In an effort to empower the next generation of drivers and enhance life-saving capabilities, this initiative aims to make Basic Life Support (BLS) training mandatory across Europe. Our survey uncovered that while 44% of European countries mandate BLS courses for specific driving licenses, there is a clear need to extend this requirement continent-wide. By joining forces, the ERC and EFA aspire to increase the number of potential CPR responders, bolstering community resilience and potentially saving countless lives. We invite you to support this life-saving endeavor and help raise awareness about the importance of bystander CPR. Let's come together to spread the word and ensure that every aspiring driver not only learns to navigate the roads safely but also gains the skills to respond effectively in medical emergencies. #LearnToDriveLearnCPR #DrivingSafety #CPRTraining #SavingLives #RoadSafety #CommunityResilience https://loom.ly/YLRTeMQ

In fact, fewer than 10% of the images represented Black or Asian people. CPR Taylor offers a solution, representing all genders and races. Prepare your students to respond to any cardiac emergency by training with CPR Taylor. I'm back from a two-day workshop at the JIBC campus in New Westminster where we continued development of the NCFP Education and Practice Guidance. The workshop was full of encouraging conversations, sharing of ideas, and a desire to push paramedic education beyond current practice. We look forward to sharing the draft guidance document with educators across Canada in coming weeks. Grateful to Becky Donelon and her team for hosting us, and this amazing group of educators from across Canada!
