3 great questions to ask when interviewing with a hiring manager… 1. What skill or knowledge gaps exist on the team right now? 2. What seems to be impacted most by this? 3. How has the team compensated to minimize said impact and is that sustainable? This will do 3 things: 1. Give you great insight into how the hiring manager currently defines success for this role. 2. Prompts the interviewer to recognize and verbalize any areas that are negatively impacted by these gaps. 3. Gives you the opportunity to share examples of how your experience directly fills those needs and what actions you will take to make an immediate impact if hired.
