My three best practices are in this YouTube video, but I will summarize them: 🗣️ Plan Your Words: Take a moment to pick out what you want to say before you summon Siri. 🔊 Clarity is Key: Speak confidently and articulate. Siri needs words she can hear and understand. She prefers not to guess. ✍️ Punctuate for Precision: Siri has many commands, and all the standard punctuation is on the list. For a company largely built on artists and creatives using and loving its products, #Crush! was a big miss for Apple. Sure, the ad is getting everybody talking. But it feels particularly tone-deaf at a time when society (especially artists, musicians, etc.) is reckoning with the prospect of tech replacing humans. #genAI will continue to improve and to produce convincingly "human" output in artistic domains. Even so, I think there will be a growing thirst for genuine human creativity. Apple should, as it has for decades, frame its products as tools (not replacements) for human creativity.
