What does it take to be a champion? With just 80 days to go before the Olympics opening ceremony in Paris it's easy for us all to focus on that final race, concentrate on who crosses the line first and think about who will be standing on that podium. While that is the goal of each and every athlete competing, only a very small few will ever achieve it. Success on the field takes more than just showing up. It takes support, encouragement, sacrifice and investment (of time, effort and money) from both the athlete themselves and from the mass of volunteers that help them over many years. It also takes a determined and winning mindset, insights into which we can all benefit from understanding, whether you are performing on the world stage, or you are just trying to make it through the day. Great to see the latest from Deloitte, working closely with #TeamGB and #ParalympicsGB, to develop #Mindscape. A digital experience, taking you inside the minds of athletes. https://lnkd.in/eGPv5nyH

What does it take to be a champion? We often think it’s about winning. The medal. The record. The recognition. But we know it’s about much more than that. It’s about strength. Acceptance. And making a difference. That’s why we created Mindscape with Team GB and ParalympicsGB – a digital experience that takes you inside the mind of an athlete. To hear their stories. 🌟 Empowering change: Experiencing Paralympic values with my kids! 🌟 💫 What an incredible experience it was to attend Paralympics with my kids! I am of course inspired by the determination, resilience, and remarkable performance of Paralympic athletes, but the greatest lesson is how we can reshape perceptions when dealing with diversity. The contrasting perspectives of adults and children at the event were enlightening – while most adults sought to understand the athletes' disabilities, the children focused solely on their incredible performances! 🌈 While I was anticipating meaningful conversations about diversity with my kids, I realized that exposure to such events at a young age seamlessly integrates diversity into their reality. This confirmed the importance of visibility and having role models. 👨👧👦 Through this experience, my children and I have gained invaluable insights on the limitless potential within every individual. As a leader in finance, driving change through innovation and diversity, I see parallels between the values of the Paralympics and our professional environment. 🌍 Driving change and navigating transformative initiatives within the finance landscape require resilience. And this experience reinforces my dedication to fostering a culture of inclusivity and driving impactful change within my team and the finance industry at large. 🌟 Cultivating an environment where the unique strengths and contributions of every individual are celebrated sparks innovation and creativity, driving us toward meaningful and sustainable success! #Paralympics #Inclusivity #Resilience #Innovation #FinanceLeadership

🎙 Human Performance & Leadership Keynote Speaker & Coach⚡️ building sustainable high-performance cultures globally ⚡️
Hey AI, create an image ‘chocolate medal of the Olympics in Paris 2024, with a Belgian ribbon with a sports stadium background.’ 🇧🇪 It feels bittersweet writing this as I’m still in Paris, digesting the intense experiences from the Olympics. 🎢 Yes, we reached our goal of 10 medals, and we are incredibly proud of that! Half of those medals were unexpected, making them taste all the sweeter. But there’s another side to the story: eight times we flirted with the podium, and eight times we ended up with a bittersweet 4th place. Witnessing this up close hurts. 💔 It’s a pity because we DO have the talent, the techniques, the strategy, and the experience to grab those medals. 🥇 In the world of sports, we’ve fought hard over the decades to prove our worth and climb to the top. Now that we’re there, we don’t always finish the job. Just not yet… Is Belgium going to remain the country of ‘just not,’ or are we going to believe that —yes, even as a small country — we have the power to win? 💪 “Belief is the certainty before the proof is delivered,” my psychology professor taught us in one of our first classes. This belief will be the key to transforming those bittersweet moments into golden ones. 🥇✨ As we look towards LA2028, I’d be honoured to bring my experience in mental coaching to help unlocking our Belgian athletes and reach that podium! 🚀 👉 Ready to chase medals? If you believe in my #LA2028 mission and think I can contribute, I’d truly appreciate your support or endorsement to your sports network as we aim for gold together in LA. 👈 Let’s go Belgium, let’s go! 🇧🇪 🙏 #Paris2024 #Olympics #Belgium #MentalCoaching #Resilience #Inspiration #Leadership #SportsPsychology

How we transformed a summer of sport through technology.... please read on. For the past few months, sport fans everywhere have been engaged with a summer of sport – from grass courts and a festival of sport in Paris. Whether you watched from the sidelines or on-screen, the stories of triumph have been unmatched. We’re proud to say that through our tech and digital transformations, we’ve been right there, helping the LTA, Team GB and ParalympicsGB further advance their impact this summer. Here's a small recap of some of the things we’ve worked on… 🎾 We worked with the LTA to transform tennis using technology, bringing an organisation with over 100 years of history to new people and new places. This included improving website accessibility, to how you book a court, and introducing the LTA’s first membership programme to make tennis more relevant, accessible and enjoyable for everyone. In the last year alone, we’ve welcomed over 2.1m new players, signed up 23,176 teachers, and seen a 31% increase on community park courts. Find out more about our with the LTA here: www.deloitte.co.uk/tennis 🚴 As the only professional services firm to be a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner and Digital Transformation Partner for both Team GB and ParalympicsGB, we’ve helped both organisations grow their social impact and use their platform for good. We did this through our Global campaign, ‘The First Effect’, which we co-created with the International Olympic Committee – IOC to recognise the impact made by ‘firsts’ in the sporting world. We also worked with alliance partner, Salesforce, to implement new technology and systems to help both organisations capture, connect and retain their fans. 💭 We created a digital experience called Mindscape that takes people inside the mind of an athlete to understand what it really takes to be a champion. But this isn’t about being a champion in terms of medals, podiums or winning, but a champion for mental health, resilience, disability and inclusion – areas of shared impact for athletes, Team GB, ParalympicsGB and Deloitte. You can catch all of our work with Team GB and ParalympicsGB below or visit The First Effect Global hub via this link: https://lnkd.in/ejUxPYV9 #DeloitteConsulting #Technology #TechTransformation #DeloitteInSport
