What needs to happen next to ensure the autonomous vehicle industry is putting safety and explainability at the heart of development? We invited journalist Neil Kennett along with independent road safety campaigner Meera Naran MBE and Nick Reed, Chief Road Safety Advisor to National Highways to visit our UK HQ. After taking a demo ride to see our software driving on the road, we talked about our approach for the development of safe and explainable self-driving technology. “My self-driving experience was, if anything, unremarkable,” said Naran. “It was everything it should be. No drama. No sensational headline. Just sensible. “The ride was smooth, comfortable and most importantly, uneventful!" Rossmoor community resident, Patrick Zimmer gives his review after riding the new Presto self-driving shuttle in California. The autonomous shuttles driven by Oxa and delivered and operated by Beep, Inc. are now servicing California’s Rossmoor 55+ active senior community.
