#PortfolioNews - Congratulations to Sebastian Leape and the team at Natcap on their oversubscribed $10 million Series A fundraise, enabling them to help more organisations understand and act on their nature-related risks and opportunities. We supported NatCap’s round alongside André Hoffmann, Norinchukin Capital, Yeo Ventures, Pelican Ag, David Craig, with funds advised by MW&L Capital Partners, and Alea Iacta Est. This is big news for the nature reporting space: it’s one of the first nature and biodiversity intelligence companies globally to complete Series A financing. Exploring alternative investment avenues within the property sector has become increasingly popular. Take, for instance, the rise of HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation) and serviced accommodations. Recently, I had a discussion with a client who, despite being a seasoned buy-to-let investor, hadn't considered venturing into the realm of HMOs until our conversation. Stepping into this new territory was initially scary for them, but recognising the potential aligned with their investment goals, they decided to take the plunge. With the right support team and a well-thought-out strategy, we took on this new venture together.
