OXMAN is excited to unveil O°, a biomaterial, digital, and robotic technology platform that powers the production of biobased textiles and wearables that are 100% biodegradable when disposed of, made entirely with organic material and without petrochemicals or glues, and producing no microplastics. O° (pronounced “O-Zero”) removes the complexity inherent in conventional fabrication processes, enabling the creation of consumer products from one material, under one roof, with minimal human intervention — through a nearly zero-waste process. The first product to be created using O° platform is a collection of shoes made entirely of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs), a class of organic material known for its versatility and biodegradability. So inspired to investigate processes, challenge them and to reimagine the how. A starting point to changing the world of the future is in what we do today and you are an inspiration to what can be accomplished.
It looks very light and soft. Can we try this process for a custom arm prosthesis? 🤔
This is some truly amazing research and design brought into 21st century bio-manufacturing. Can you make me a size 11 and 1/2 us? Keep up the good work. This is environment changing work.
OXMAN WOW! Speechless! I hope this technology will be soon available for orthopedic shoe technology because this will be the real 3D printing game changer in this awesome niche!
This is super cool. There's a number of elements of this process I'm excited by
