Over the years, the youth in our care have brought many talents through our doors, including a creative eye that they’ve channeled into the art of painting. Their creativity and expression through art deserve to be celebrated, and we are always amazed by their talent. It’s hard for us to pick a favorite, so we’d love to hear from you – which painting speaks to you the most? 🎨✨

Hello dear friends, this is a short clip from a video lesson I have on my Patreon page. If you want to watch it, just click the linkin.bio/gianlucarotelli. In this video, I’ll focus more on theory than practice because it’s important to understand the steps and artistic ideas that need to be considered before painting. The painting is the final result of a series of thoughts that follow specific steps and logic, starting from initial ideas.

Gouache painting, title; "From Roots to Heights: Embarking on Your Journey to Greatness" In a world constantly torn between the ancient roots of nature and the relentless march of modernity, the painting before you captures a figure striding confidently into an ethereal landscape. This image is more than just a piece of art; it’s a reflection of the journey each one of us undertakes. With a basket of blooming potential in one hand and the strength of the earth beneath our feet, it reminds us that the path to greatness is not reserved for the already great but is paved by those daring to start. Imagine the figure as a metaphor for your own aspirations. The red and orange hues, reminiscent of autumn leaves, symbolize transformation, while the vibrant background speaks of the infinite possibilities awaiting those who dare to step forward. The message is clear: “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” This art piece serves as a cultural artifact, encapsulating the duality of human existence—a testament to our deep connection with nature and our relentless pursuit of progress. It calls out to a generation caught in the whirlwind of industrialism and the yearning for environmental harmony. It urges us to embrace our roots, yet reach for the skies. As you gaze upon this painting, let it inspire you to take that first step towards your dreams. Allow it to resonate deeply, stirring a sense of purpose and urgency. The time to act is now, for in every beginning lies the promise of greatness. Art today is more important than ever, serving as a beacon of hope and a call to action. Let this painting and its message be your guide. Take that step, and let your journey begin. Painting on skissbok paper, size; 21cm x 24cm.
