🚧 New Publication Alert! 🚧 I'm thrilled to announce the publication of my latest research paper co-authored with Miaomiao Zhang, Heng Liu, Hessam AzariJafari, and Randolph Kirchain at MIT Concrete Sustainability Hub, titled "Development of a streamlined framework for probabilistic and comparative life cycle assessment of road pavements." at Resources, Conservation & Recycling. 📄This study introduces a novel framework that tackles the extensive data requirements and uncertainties in road pavement life cycle assessment (LCA): 💡We leveraged a structured data underspecification approach to address data requirements and uncertainties in road pavement LCA. 💡We demonstrated efficiency through case studies in adapting to various degrees of data scarcity and achieving discernible results with high reliability. 💡The framework reduces the data collection burden by up to 85.7%, supporting a reliable decision-making process for designers or stakeholders with minimal data. 💡For practical applications, this framework is being adopted by an online LCA tool to facilitate use by practitioners. 🔗 Access the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/ejHYSbWJ I look forward to your thoughts and feedback! 🙌 #Research #LifeCycleAssessment #PavementEngineering #Sustainability #DataScience #RoadPavement

"One is to address barriers to net-zero buildings in the market, and those could be technological, social, capacity, tools. Any sort of barrier that an architect, engineer (or) developer identifies," Cole said. "The other is to really grow the community of practice. So it's about addressing this barrier, and then disseminating the work socializing it, sharing it." #oregon #netzero #districtsystems
