Ever caught yourself humming along to Meatloaf’s “Paradise by the Dashboard Lights” without giving a second thought to what those dashboard lights actually mean? 🚗💡 Well, unlike the song's backdrop for auto romance, in real life, they're critical for your vehicle's health and your safety. If you're feeling overwhelmed with all the symbols and colors flashing at you from the dash, here's a brief guide to seven crucial dashboard warning lights that could save you from potential danger on the roads: 🔵 Green/Blue Lights: All good! Features like cruise control or headlights are activated. 🟡 Yellow/Amber Lights: Caution! Time for some maintenance, like engaging traction control or checking tire pressure. 🔴 Red Warning Lights: Danger! This indicates serious issues like engine or transmission problems. Specific Warning Lights to Watch Out For: Check Engine: Serious or minor, don't ignore it. Visit a mechanic if the light stays on. Engine Coolant: Overheating? Let your car cool down safely and get assistance. Oil Pressure: Could be low oil or something worse. Check the dipstick and consult a mechanic. Battery Alert: Charging system issue. Get your battery checked or replaced as needed. Tire Pressure Monitor: Keep those tires inflated correctly for safe driving and fuel efficiency. Brake System: Not just for when the parking brake is on – it could indicate bigger brake problems. Reduced Engine Power: Problems with air/fuel flow need a pro's diagnosis. Remember, your Owner’s Manual is your best friend for a comprehensive understanding of your car's alerts and maintaining your ride 📘 #CarMaintenance #DashboardLights #VehicleSafety #AutoCareTips #ItsAMutualThing

What to avoid to keep your car running efficiently for a long time 1.Ignoring dashboard warnings lights Ignoring important dashboard warning can turn out to be a serious disaster. The best thing to do is to see a mechanic who should diagnose simple issues such as brakes, tire pressure or safety concerns 2.Hitting Potholes What most drivers would rather do on a road that looks like the surface of the moon, is to run through the holes. It is a big mistake that costs your wheel alignment, tires and mess around with break suspension components. 3.Not occasionally checking engine oil Even though most engines today can go long without changing oil, this is not a good idea. 4.Periodic Maintenance and repair Ignoring the day you are supposed to visit your mechanic again is not a good idea despite the car looking okay. 5.Procrastinating major repairs Most car owners would rather save cash and hurriedly avoid a major repair. This is equally dangerous. 6.Checking And Inspecting Tire pressure Car tire pressures should be checked on a daily basis. It is simple as it comes on the user manual. Besides proper management of tire pressure saved fuel. 7.Not using Parking handbreak. The car can survive on a parking gear in a parking lot, but this is a safety and gear transmission hazard. 8.Waxing and Washing it on time One should lubricate and wax moving parts of a car on time, besides washing it should be a often habit. 9.Not driving it for along time It is so ironical that not driving your car and letting it sleep in the parking lot would rather kill your car so fast. 10.Paying attention to leaking fluids Paying attention to leakage of fluids can give you hint of a less or serious attention. #useMoticar
