Our 2022 Post-Election Survey found that almost half of youth respondents (46%) were not contacted by any type of organization, candidate, or party prior to voting. Lack of outreach from campaigns and organizations can result in a lack of information or motivation that many respondents cited as reason for not voting. More than 2 in 5 young respondents in our survey (42%) said they had not heard much, or nothing at all, about their Congressional elections, and more than a third (36%) said the same about the voting process. Standing for Democracy and Accountability. Today, I had the privilege to testify before the Wisconsin Elections Commission, representing All Voting is Local Action and over 1,800 Wisconsinites who stand for free and fair elections. We are calling for the immediate resignation of Bob Spindell from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. His actions as a 2020 fake elector and his alarming remarks celebrating voter suppression in Black and Brown communities betray the trust that our elections are built on. As a mother and a proud Wisconsinite, I believe that every voter, regardless of race or political party, deserves respect and representation. Bob Spindell has failed in this responsibility, and today we made it clear: Wisconsinites deserve better. Together, we’re holding our leaders accountable and pushing for a more equitable democracy. #ProtectOurVote #FreeAndFairElections #DemocracyInAction #AccountabilityMatters #ResignBobSpindell #AllVotingisLocalAction
