The highlight was "Idea-Hack" , a 24-hour hackathon challenge presented by CHECK24 Vergleichsportal GmbH. Our ambitious goal? To revolutionize their platform by integrating an innovative AI-driven bidding model. 🌐💡 🚀 Journey of Innovation and Fun: The experience was an exhilarating blend of innovation, fun, and hard work. We engaged in intense brainstorming, hands-on code development, and enjoyed a lot of grilled food! 😄 We crafted a comprehensive business model that boldly challenged the conventional, pushing the limits of what we thought was possible. 🤝 Unparalleled Networking and Learning: The event was a dynamic mix of networking, connecting with some of the brightest minds in the startup scene. The event was rich with engaging talks and fireside chats, creating an atmosphere where everyone was eager to connect and pitch their ideas. ✨ More Than Just an Event: Reflecting on IdeaLab, I realize it was more than an event – it was a crucible of creativity, innovation, and collaboration. Last Thursday, I had the chance to dive into Propelify again in Hoboken, and I'm still buzzing from the experience. This innovation festival, masterfully orchestrated by Aaron Price and TechUnited.co, is really gaining momentum in the tech world. Now that I've had time to process, here are my key takeaways: 1. AI dominated the conversation: Founders and leaders shared invaluable insights on scaling with AI and navigating our rapidly evolving tech landscape. 2. Funding insights: Got the inside scoop on what VCs are looking for in today's market. 3. The power of in-person networking: The energy was electric, and I made connections that just wouldn't happen virtually. It's reminded me why these events are so crucial. 4. Heavyweight speakers: Heard from industry titans like Marc Lore (Diapers.com, Jet.com) and Carolyn Everson (ex-Instacart CEO, now on boards like The Coca-Cola Company and The Walt Disney Company). 5. Hands-on with new tools: From AI to startup strategies, the message was clear - dive into these new technologies or risk falling behind. Reflecting on it all, I'm struck by how Propelify perfectly balances cutting-edge innovation with the irreplaceable value of face-to-face interactions. Last week, I had the privilege of attending NY TECH WEEK by a16z, and it was nothing short of amazing! Featuring over 700 events in one week, record-breaking attendance, and a vibrant display of innovation across all sectors, the entire week was truly inspiring. AI was undoubtedly the star of the show, dominating conversations during fireside chats, meetups, and pitch competitions. Witnessing AI’s revolution across industries like fintech, construction, logistics, healthcare, and cybersecurity highlighted the transformative power of AI and its potential to reshape our future. The sheer number of attendees from Europe, LatAm, and all across the US added to the incredible discussions. From rooftop happy hours to workshops, it was a pleasure reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. It was also great to participate in conversations around corporate innovation and venture building in enterprise environments. Corporate venture building is crucial, as corporates can drive meaningful innovation by leveraging their resources and networks to accelerate the development of groundbreaking technologies and solutions, creating significant value for themselves and the entire ecosystem. This is a big part of the work we do at Motiv, and these were some of my favorite conversations with corporate venture builders.
