A little sunshine to share - maybe a bright spot for your day? The Bay Area Air Quality Management District's Board of Directors just awarded $50 million in funding for electric charging infrastructure to support medium- and heavy-duty fleets here in the Bay Area. AND 99% of the funding is for charging that supports fleets that operate in disadvantaged or low-income communities. The projects are varied, from charging that supports laundry vans and eldercare transport to large-scale heavy-duty electric truck charging depots! There is even a project with a ferry induction charger! Kudos to my colleague Linda Hui for her leadership on this program.
