First ChipQuilibrium posting of the year - thanks for all the constructive feedback over the holiday period. All indicators point to a rebound year after a period of correction, and the next 10 years of continuous growth. Obviously, whilst part of that rebound will be in volume shipments (after corrections), part of this will undoubtedly be pricing increases on certain products & technologies, due to the balancing of production & demand - some vendors have already announced increases for this year. Whilst the past year has seen a record number of fabs go online, staffing fabs has been a hurdle... and in the background, many fabs cut back production due to the market diving in 2nd half of 2023. And global considerations such as shipping through the Red Sea and container costs need to be factored in. 2024 will be an interesting year... 1 Jun 24: Volkswagen (closed 131.40 on 31 May) completed a head and shoulders top (bearish pattern) via a gap-down on 30 May. The textbook target is at 110.86.
