Congratulations to Pedro Squiapati, one of our 2024 Scholarship Winners! 🌟🎉 Pedro Squiapati is a master's student in Plant Science at California State University, Fresno. He is a research assistant at the USDA, where he focuses on improving soil health in California vineyards through the adoption of cool-season cover crops. He previously earned his bachelor's degree in Agronomic Engineering from the Universidade of São Paulo in Brazil, where his research focused on tropical microorganisms to enhance nutrient availability in the soil. Pedro aims to make agricultural systems more sustainable and productive by increasing soil fertility and health through natural practices. The Pacific Seed Association scholarship has alleviated the financial strain, enabling him to continue his research. Congratulations, Pedro! Your hard work and dedication are truly inspiring.
