FPS Concrete Forum 2024: Panel Discussion Announced... Join us at the FPS Concrete Forum 2024, being held at City Hall, London, on Thursday, 22nd February. Steve Hadley, Chair of Ground Forum, will chair a panel discussing “Contractors and Suppliers in Conversation”, bringing together both piling contractors and concrete suppliers to discuss common issues. Areas discussed will include how concrete is specified, on site sampling practices and standards, reasons for inconsistencies in loads, how rig types can affect static segregation, carbon tax and picking the right batching plant.   Panel members will include Daniel Bunting (Expanded), Ian Innes (Heidelberg Materials), Kevin Paterson, (Capital Concrete), Mark Boden (Skanska) and Paul Wiltcher (Aarsleff). We've partnered with Readymix companies across Australia & New Zealand to conduct over 1,200 eyeD tests. This innovative tool provides real-time data on steel fibre distribution, helping us optimize batching processes and ensure consistent quality. 𝐒𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞: The graphs below showcase the power of the eyeD. The first truck (Graph 1) reveals an initial inconsistency in distribution. This allows for swift intervention, whether it's adjusting the plant's batching process or the ready-mix truck itself (avoiding an "ant hill turning into a mountain").
