With a stretch of heat above 110°F in the Central Valley, we wanted to share how we plan to keep this system running in extreme temperatures! With solar energy, California's #CleanGreenHSR will be able to withstand the intense Valley heat and keep people moving. #FactFriday
Impressive! I have a question California High-Speed Rail Authority: how will ticketing work? I know it's early in the process, but I'm guessing you already have some kind of plan. If, say, I wanted to take the rail from Seattle on down to LA, will I be able to do my whole journey on one app and on one ticket? Or will we have to get different apps for each stretch, depending on who's administering it? Are you planning to partner with other rail providers for seamless transfers?
I always want California High-Speed Rail in California and I always love California High-Speed Rail in California.

3moGood to know that power won't be a problem, but the more pertinent question is whether it is safe to run trains at 220mph when air temperatures (and track temperatures) are very high. This week both BART and Caltrain imposed speed restrictions.
