Tomorrow marks 6 years of business for Jordan and Associates Consulting. Thank you to everyone that reached out about the anniversary! All 28,000 of my LinkedIn connections haven't reach out yet, but it feels like almost all have! I'd like to thank God for His continued hand on my life and business. I also want to thank the companies and people I've worked with for the 150+ behavioral healthcare job placements, numerous conferences I've helped start or run and many other consulting projects I've been a part of. In light of this 6 year anniversary, here are the 6 biggest things I've learned during this time: 1) Listen to market, they will dictate their needs and my opportunities 2) Just because the market tells me there is a need to be filled, that doesn't mean I'm qualified to fill it or want to 3) As a consultant, there is a HUGE difference between companies saying they want/need to work with me and actually signing a contract then following through on my recommendations 4) Most companies that need help hiring have bigger underlying issues causing this "inability to hire" that will persistently create problems until addressed (sound familiar, co-occurring disorder treatment professionals?) 5) Today's hiring market is very competitive and candidates are interviewing multiple companies when seeking a new opportunity just like companies are interviewing multiple candidates when attempting to hire 6) We have to give candidates reasons to choose our opportunities over the others AND stay there long-term (Some reasons include team environment, the leaders they'll work beside, interview/hiring process, company culture and reputation, compensation and benefits, and quality of work) If you're interested in seeing how we can help your organization hire or grow, visit our website at https://lnkd.in/ehDDebJR
