After a few years of trying, we finally found a way to make this happen! Excited to visit University of New Brunswick and Brandon Searle for this event and discuss the future of #industrializedconstruction in Canada 🍁 🇨🇦 and elsewhere. The first thing I will share is that the principles for #industrializedconstruction are universal and therefore can be taught and understood across contexts. It is up to us to translate our knowledge into different situations. That is the journey I am fortunate enough to be on - taking the principles learned at Luleå University of Technology and applying them at Lindbäcks Bygg and then Volumetric Building Companies. The most common reaction is “we can’t do that” often meaning “we have never done that before”. What happens next is the difference between status quo and progress. Changing a system is hard work, bit by bit. Let’s talk about that - what are the bits and how do we work to change our construction methods to give more people a place to live?
