At PACIV, we prioritize keeping our team trained and proficient in our core services: Automation, Validation, Instrumentation, and Control Panels. Technical competency is a pillar of our business. Given the diverse projects we handle—whether in the office, field, or construction site—safety remains paramount. Our teams receive regular training and updates on topics such as First Aid and OSHA regulations. Yesterday, some of our team members received this crucial training at our Indianapolis shop, which we've transformed into an impromptu training center.

SAM, TRACY & MR. WILLIS - HOT & COLD RELATIONSHIPS At 8 a.m., as Sam, a hardworking 35-year-old Utilities Engineer, sat in the chair, his phone rang. It was Tracy again. Both worked for the same company High-Pressure Pharmaceuticals (HPP), but had a low and strained working relationship. Known to be highly demanding and ruthless, Tracy had little appetite for the recent high humidity alarms in the production areas. Being the Utilities Engineer, Sam had been trying a few tricks to reduce the humidity, but nothing was working. He knew that Tracy was about to raise the issue to the top management. Not knowing what else to do, he resorted to his master key for all HVAC problems: Mr Willis. Lacking paper qualifications, Mr Willis joined HPP 35 years back as a junior technician and now worked as a senior supervisor. Having experienced all kinds of HVAC issues over decades, Mr. Willis’ knowledge and wisdom were second to none. When Sam met Mr. Willis, true to his style, he asked Sam a lot of questions. But then gave Sam a crash course in psychrometry so that he could get out of the latest problem. Could Sam solve the problem and save himself from Tracy, who was ready to pounce on him? You'll know in the upcoming training. === Traditional training is a boring show of messy slides with the trainer going blah, blah, blah—and participants going sleepy. In contrast, the upcoming training titled “HVAC for Biopharma Professionals” on 17 and 20 Nov is a roller-coaster show involving case studies featuring Sam, Tracy, and Mr Willis—and in the process, you may end up learning about Pharma HVAC. 🙂 Checkout the details:

As a facility maintenance engineer it's my commitment to increase the knowledge and awareness for technicians, which holds great significance for their professional development. By taking on the responsibility of training, engineers can impart their expertise and knowledge to technicians, empowering them to excel in their roles. When maintenance engineers train technicians, it ensures a consistent standard of skills and expertise within the team. The engineer's experience and technical know-how serve as a valuable resource for technicians, enabling them to acquire the necessary competencies to handle maintenance tasks efficiently. Moreover, having engineers as trainers allows for practical insights and real-world examples to be shared. They can provide hands-on demonstrations, share troubleshooting techniques, and guide technicians through complex maintenance procedures. This direct mentorship helps technicians build confidence and become adept at resolving issues effectively. By investing in training programs led by maintenance engineers, organizations can foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Technicians benefit from the engineer's deep understanding of equipment, systems, and industry regulations. This knowledge transfer equips technicians with the skills needed to deliver high-quality maintenance services, resulting in enhanced operational performance. #Hassan_Allam #Facility #Foam_system #Eden_Facility_Management #TrainingMatters #MaintenanceExcellence

Many industrial fluid and instrumentation systems rely on pressure regulators to maintain or control desired pressure and flow in response to system changes, to keep the system running safely and as intended. Therefore it is critical to choose the right regulator—the wrong choice can lead to inefficiency, poor performance, frequent troubleshooting, and potential safety hazards. Hello, fellow engineers! Here is a safety share I have been observing for some time now. It is an unsafe act that I believe almost every technician has done before, and some are even still doing it, but safety has not given it the needed attention. The use of compressed air as a waste cleaning agent, especially after work (i.e., grinding, gouging, or working in dusty or slurry areas like flotation, CIL,crushers, etc.), with the intention of cleaning dust, slurry, and iron filings from our bodies and overalls after work and to the extent that some use it for hoseplay. Of course it’s easy and feels good on us, but have we ever thought about the adverse effects of this practice? Isn’t safety failing when it comes to the misuse of compressed air? Compressed air is a concentrated stream of air at high pressure and speed and consists mainly of 78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen. Air Control Industries. High pressure has the ability to cause barotrauma when it enters the lungs and also the ability to cause compressive injuries to the eyes, blow out your eardrum, and more seriously, cause air embolism, in which a blood vessel is blocked by air bubbles, which, when not recognized early, can lead to end organ damage, especially to the brain and the heart. The manifestation of these adverse effects may not be sudden but can occur as time progresses, which, as per our setting, always occurs during pension, but some may be so severe that they happen during active working years. We are all susceptible to this if we keep engaging in this act. Safety is a shared responsibility; please be your brother's keeper. DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR TO COOL YOURSELF OR TO BLOW DUST FROM THE CLOTHES OR HAIR. Thank you. #HUMBLEweld❤️👨🏭🔥
