In 2022, U.S. LNG accounted for 40% of EU LNG imports, playing a vital role in the region’s energy security. However, the LNG export pause puts international energy security at risk and undermines our allies’ progress to wean themselves off Russian gas. PAGE supports the 12 Democratic US Representatives urging Biden and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to reconsider the LNG approval pause and resume our support for our European allies.
