Final call for anyone and everyone working in PR (not just parents) - please take 10 minutes to fill out this survey and help us create change in the industry. 15 years ago, I was envious and probably a little cross about parents who left at exactly 5pm. I chose not to notice that they were always in the office before me. 15 years later, I'm that person! If there is a way to make that journey better for everyone, then surely that can only be a good thing. So please take this survey to share your thoughts and experiences, and have your say in how the PR industry can change for the better.
📢 The Future of PR Needs You ALL - Men, Women, Parents and Non Parents! Please Help Us to Make a Real Difference 📢 We've had a great response to our survey so far, but we need EVERYONE to fill it out, not just women or mums. It's important we have a generalist view to make it as fair as possible for all that are involved. This initiative has the potential to bring about real change in the industry - but we require your assistance to make it happen. We kindly ask you to participate in (and share!) this survey. With your input, we aim to tackle key issues such as promoting flexible working arrangements and creating more supportive environments for working parents in PR. Our goal is to establish industry-wide standards that ensure equal opportunities and foster a more inclusive culture. Thanks so much for your participation! Imagine a world where every question leads us closer to understanding and each word we use has the power to uncover truth. Working for a data-driven, science-based organization has shown me the importance of crafting questions that matter. Questions that reveal, inspire action, and drive decisions. For those in talent engagement, understanding how we ask questions is crucial. Let's all take note. Check it out: Pew Research's 'Methods 101' video beautifully captures this essence of crafting meaningful questions. #DataDriven #ScienceBased #Inclusion #BetterQuestionsBetterDecisions

As I wrap up my minor in Digital Communication, Information and Media, I am currently taking the capstone course. I am beginning my work on my final #DCIMCapstone project, which will focus around the effect that mainstream media has on the voting behaviors of the public. While researching this topic, I encountered this article from the Pew Research Center, which discusses how Americans view the role of the mainstream media. The article highlights a key finding, the fact that more Americans now believe that the influence of mainstream media sources is growing. This idea is the central point that my capstone project will focus on. The project will also discuss whether or not this influence is appropriate or not. I'm interested in understanding how this growing influence is affecting the public and their voting decisions. We like to believe that we make voting decisions on our own, without influence from outside actors. The question is if that really is the case. If you are interested, I've attached the article for you to read. I would also love to hear you thoughts. Please feel free to connect with me so we can discuss further. #dcimcapstone
