Data Center News 📰 DC BLOX have officially broken ground on their Atlanta East Hyperscale Data Center Campus 🚧 The 72-acre site is set to be at least 750,000 square feet and marks an exciting milestone for the company as they expand their digital infrastructure portfolio. October Data Center Developments ☁ 🔹 New partnership announced between Microsoft, BlackRock, Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), and MGX - seeking to unlock $30BN of private equity capital to drive data center expansion in the US. 🔹 Google announced a $3.3BN investment in South Carolina to include two new data center campus and expansion to an existing one. 🔹 South Carolina is becoming a new hot spot for data center developments, with Meta confirming Aiken County will host its newest data center following an $800M+ investment. 🔹 122 acres of land has been acquired in Charlotte, NC by PowerHouse Data Centers and Town Lane for a 2.5 million sq ft, 300 MW campus. 🔹 Duos Edge AI have launched their first edge data center in Amarillo, TX. 🔹 Dallas-based DataBank acquired 292 acres of land in Red Oak for a 480 MW campus. 🔹 Amazon have announced £8BN worth of investment in UK data center development. It's great to see further project announcements in the Carolinas compared to the usual hot spots such as Virginia making headlines.
