International Educator | Science Teacher in One World International School Singapore | Certified teacher on IB MYP Sciences, IB DP Biology, IGCSE, and AS&A-level Biology
🔬 Subject: Science (Lower Secondary, Cambridge) 🧪 Topic: Reflection 🏫 Class: Year 8 👩🔬 Experiment: To identify the angle of incidence and reflection of the light 🗨️ Group work 🟡 The #assignment is a bit more comprehensive. Students make a poster, and the #poster will include a photo from the #experiment and proper results, they will also identify an error. Several questions are given to students, and they will do #research and respond to these questions on the poster as a #group. They will also give information about the Reflection process and the Law of #Reflection. You can see the result of their experiment in photo collage. They used a mirror (and the screen of the phone), laser, a protractor, and white paper to observe the reflection property of the #light 💡To have a dark condition is suggested. #science #year8 #physics #kingsyangoninternationalschool #cambridgeeducation #kingseducation #education #scienceteacher #lowersecondary #biologyteacher #educators #teacher #teachersoflinkedin #linkedin #teachingideas #reflectionofthelight

[ 📑 My First Scientific Publication 🖋 ] I'm thrilled to share my first scientific paper. The paper was written when I was on the track of my bachelor's degree 🎓 📖 . At that time I had taken a capita selecta: analysis subject, one of the topics that almost have no students commonly concern on it. Indeed, there are only four students including me who have a big enough passion to learn mathematics analysis topic. Strikingly, on this subject, we have to study a new branch of mathematics called quantum calculus (q-calculus). The q-calculus has been known as a novel variation of calculus and it is more general than the ordinary. A bunch of complex derivatization of formulae and constructional are involved here. For me, it was such an exciting challenge and I dared myself to complete this subject whatever it cost. Gratefully, I passed this subject with a well-graded and produced one paper. The paper has been published in Jurnal Matematika UNAND, accredited SINTA 2. It is good to start my scientific career journey since I have no experience before. 📄 You can access the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/gb3tP4RP #scientificwriting #quantumcalculus #mathematics

WOW OF A WORD... I started my mid-age school as a science student because i was doing these curriculums(Physics, Biology, Chemistry, & Elective Mathematic(Not Core Math) ) and all the BIG WORDS i heard were from the Biology teacher(Eg- Streptococci, Amoeba etc,). But this Word is something different.... Try pronouncing it yourself without google assistance. #floccinaucinihilipilification pronounce /ˌflɒksɪnɔːsɪˌnɪhɪlɪˌpɪlɪfɪˈkeɪʃn/ and means the action or habit of estimating something as worthless. It's the longest non-technical word in major dictionaries with 29 letters. Consisting of a series of Latin words meaning "nothing" and defined as "the act of estimating something as worthless"; its usage has been recorded as far back as 1741. Moral Lesson; NEVER SEIZE LEARNING FOR WE LIVE IN A DIVERSIFIED ENVIRONMENT.

I have successfully completed the Maths Skills online course from the Royal Society of Chemistry! Maths and Chemistry are so inherently linked, and it is easy to stay complacent and let our skills go to waste. This course was an excellent refresher not only on basic maths, but also on how numeracy in the technical parts of Chemistry, notably in stoichiometry, is implemented. This further strengthened my knowledge gained from 上海交通大学 , where the calculations involved in analysing ternary phase diagrams of steel is crucial to the modern materials scientist. #materialsscience #stemcareers #womeninstem #chemistry #ectchemistry #sciencedepartment #materialsscientist
