Client: I usually don’t wear makeup. Just a simple, natural look for my company gala dinner will do 😬 Me: 👌 Proceeds with skin care, brow trimming, eye makeup, false lashes, eyelid tape, foundation, concealer, blush, powder, setting spray etc etc. Almost 99% of my clients request light, simple and natural makeup. But the truth is (and I know all makeup artists will agree), what looks natural and simple is … never done simply. To ensure the ideal end result, time is required for careful selection of colour tone, matching of shades, choice of application area, angle and intensity. A single wrong stroke can make a huge impact on the final result. Sometimes social media makes it look so easy as what happens in real life in 1-2hours are condensed into seconds. However, I always tell my clients makeup and hairstyling is a form of art but on live canvas; AND art takes time to create.
