The 2024 Palliative Care in Queensland Priorities report has seven points of priority for PCQ. Priority 4 focuses on growing initiatives that educate and engage the community to build compassionate communities. Queensland must look to growing community support for people choosing to stay in their own homes or in another community setting throughout their palliative care journey and increasingly at the end of life. PBS on public health begins tonight, The Invisible Shield. Given how much work so many of our public libraries are doing to foster healthy communities through education, activities, programs, services, and partnerships - and given how even the US Surgeon General is naming libraries as a pillar in public health, it's worth taking a second to view. https://lnkd.in/gskU-V77

In honor of the many public health champions I'm privileged to know, I'm sharing this powerful new series from PBS. The Invisible Shield examines how public health makes modern life possible, but it is underfunded, undervalued and misunderstood putting our health at risk. https://lnkd.in/grfPeSmP

Today is the day! It's the day of Erie Gives! Over the past week, I've shared why I believe the work we do at Multi-Cultural Health Evaluation Delivery System, Inc. (MHEDS) - is critically important. I have asked for your support. When you support the work of MHEDS, you support a team that comes to work every day and refuses to yield to preconceived notions of what health outcomes should look like for forcibly displaced people. https://lnkd.in/eNVQ2vxP
