The reality of a small business at Christmas. One minute you are spending Saturday doing wholesome family tasks like decorating the tree... 🎄 ...the next you are firing up the laptop to track orders. 🫠 Late last week a road traffic accident affected delivery of our orders. This meant a mad dash to figure out: 💔 What was undeliverable ✅ What was retrieved ☹️ What customers were set to receive a melted box on Monday (!) At times like this it helps to be nimble and available to reassure our customers we are aware of the issue, and we have a plan. Mostly, that is all customers want to hear at that particular moment; that there is a plan. ✅ 8 customers contacted and every single one offering 10/10 responses, more concerned for the driver of the van than the delay of their order. It's a great reminder to allow time for unforeseen delays when you are shopping this Christmas - and that a small biz will bend over backwards to make sure your orders are fulfilled.
