We are pleased to share the following patient success story. Donna Fuselier has a significant past medical history including chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP), rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, right common peroneal neuropathy, and foot drop. She was diagnosed with CIDP in early 2024. Initially, her symptoms improved with IVIG injections but her treatment was interrupted, leading to progressive worsening of symptoms which required hospitalization. She has also been on high-dose steroids which have had side effects such as lower extremity edema and hypertension. She continued on steroids, IVIG, and electrolyte repletion. Due to functional decline with bilateral lower extremity weakness, inability to lift her legs against gravity, and a need for assistance with transfers and mobility, she was then transferred to PAM Health Beaumont. Mrs. Fuselier spent 10 days in rehab with intensive PT and OT for neuromuscular re-education, gait training, ADL training, strengthening, and energy conservation techniques to prepare her to return to work. Her beaming smile radiates of all her accomplishments! Her foot drop has resolved, and she is now ambulating independently 150ft with a rolling walker for best support. Upon discharge, she will continue her recovery in our outpatient programs. We wish you well, Mrs. Fuselier!

✨September Employee of the Month ✨ Meet Deanna Williams! Deanna has been a nurse for fifteen years and has been with PAM Health going on seven years now. She transitioned into wound care for PAM Health in 2020. She has one son who she adores. Deanna was nominated by her peers with many compliments of how caring she always is with the patients she cares for. Wound care is a very tedious process and can be a worrisome experience for our patients, and Deanna handles it with so much compassion, patience, and dedication. We appreciate all she does for us. Congratulations, Deanna!

Our hospital teams depend on a well-maintained stock of supplies and equipment to serve our patients, and our materials and operational staff and EVS staff are the ones who make it all possible! They manage the complex logistics of hospital inventory, often working behind-the-scenes. During Healthcare Supply Chain Week, we’re giving them the spotlight they deserve! Thank you all! #materialsmanagement #healthcare #healthcaresupplychain #logistics #operations

Adjusting to the major life changes brought on by a traumatic illness or injury – like loss of independence or inability to do activities you once could - takes a mental toll. During recovery, it’s important to prioritize the mental and emotional aspects of healing and address mental health concerns when they arise. PAM Health’s approach to care centers both your physical and mental health during your healing journey.
