Woodson and Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH®). However, the origins dates back to 1915 when Woodson founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History. The organization, which now goes by the Association for the Study of African American Life and History, held the first "Negro History Week" in February 1926, according to the Library of Congress. Abstract: In general, a reparations program is intended to achieve three objectives: acknowledgment of a grievous injustice, redress for the injustice, and closure of the grievances held by the group subjected to the injustice. Three types of injustices motivate a program of reparations for black Americans: slavery, the nearly century-long Jim Crow regime following Reconstruction, and ongoing discrimination. Inauguration of a reparations program on behalf of black Americans preferably will be undertaken via legislative action at the federal level, rather than by judicial fiat. Logistical issues addressed in the article include the determination of the magnitude of the reparations bill and the criteria to be used to identify those eligible to receive reparations. The present-day value of 40 acres and a mule can provide the foundation for calculating the magnitude of reparations owed to black Americans.

Interesting history of progression of barriers to the White House. An interesting find in the historical documents showing the original surveyed route 1872-3 that crossed the Georgia Strait (Salish Sea) just North of Campbell River... of course World Wars prevented the construction of those pieces. As far as I'm aware the designated ROW still exists to CR as I had someone that lives along it mention it's beside their properly line.
