We did it! With your help, the Unstoppable Care-avan drove 1 million miles, which can help provide 1 million meals* to kids — all without a single oil change. We’d call that mission accomplished. We can’t think of anything more worthy than Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign, a national campaign dedicated to eradicating childhood hunger in the United States. A challenge like that leaves no time to stop, and we’re proud to be able to help make progress possible through projects like our Unstoppable Care-avan. Learn more about our successful Unstoppable Care-avan journey and find out more ways you can support No Kid Hungry.

Do you know an important but threatened place in your community that could benefit from national advocacy and attention? Our friends at The National Trust for Historic Preservation are now accepting nominations for the 2025 list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places. Nominate that place today! The 11 Most program uplifts and catalyzes community-led preservation work through a high-impact public awareness campaign resulting in increased visibility, public attention, and new resources to save and activate historic places for the public good. Placement on the list raises public awareness and can be a powerful tool for local advocates to rally support around the country to help save a threatened site. Those are just a few of the benefits for your community and your historic place to be included on the 11 Most list in 2025! Since 1988, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has published an annual list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places to raise awareness about the threats facing some of our nation's greatest treasures. The list, which has identified more than 350 sites to date, has proven so successful in galvanizing preservation efforts that only a handful of sites have been lost. Learn more about nominating a site for the list: https://lnkd.in/e-SzxjR4 #SavingPlaces #11Most

Important read 👇👇👇
People want to be treated kindly, like human beings, and listened to. 👇 Over the last year and a half I’ve been working on this report with colleagues. It was published yesterday and I’m really proud of it. It’s the first policy report where we’ve talked about the importance of love in our services. It might sound trite, but it’s one of the hardest things to do for professionals. Bound up by professional boundaries, forms, processes (not necessarily bad things!), it can feel like compassion is “designed out”. You can see the report here: https://lnkd.in/eidqSw29

Equanimity—calmness and composure, especially in difficult times—is something I learned growing up in the quiet yet resilient parish of St. Thomas. Like many of you, I’ve faced my share of challenges: overcoming shyness, finding my voice, and embracing a purpose rooted in service. But it’s through those very challenges that I discovered the true essence of equanimity. As Jamaicans, we are no strangers to hard work, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence. It’s these qualities that shape us, push us forward, and allow us to serve with unwavering dedication, whether at home or abroad. Serving our people, particularly the Windrush generation in the UK, has been one of the greatest honors of my life, reminding me how deeply our roots run and how far our impact can reach. As we celebrate our Independence, I invite you to reflect on your own journey. How have you faced challenges with grace? How have those experiences equipped you to serve others? Whether you’re Jamaican or not, now is the time to use those strengths to uplift your community, be the leader your family looks up to, and inspire those around you. Let’s exercise our independence by standing firm in our purpose, serving with heart, and staying composed through every twist and turn. Together, we can continue to build a Jamaica—and a world—we’re all proud of, no matter where we are. 🌍🇯🇲 Happy Independence, Jamaica! #Jamaica #Independence #Equanimity #ProudJamaican #Service #Resilience #StThomas #NCU #WindrushGeneration #GlobalJamaicans #Empowerment #ExtraordinaryEmpire
