🎄 Empaths, Christmas shopping doesn’t have to feel this way… 🎄 I used to dread Christmas shopping. The joy of festive lights and decorations was quickly overshadowed by the overwhelm of crowded shops, emotional chaos, and being bombarded by everyone else’s stress and excitement. As an empath, it felt like I was carrying the weight of the world just trying to buy a few gifts. Sound familiar? If you find yourself avoiding the shops, feeling drained after outings, or struggling to stay grounded amidst the festive hustle, let me tell you – it doesn’t have to be this way. I’ve designed a powerful 1:1 programme, tailored specifically for empaths like you, to help you: ✨ Set boundaries so you don’t absorb the emotions of everyone around you. ✨ Strengthen your energy field to feel calm and centred, no matter how hectic the environment. ✨ Rediscover your joy for the holiday season – or any season, really! This isn’t just about Christmas shopping; it’s about creating a life where you feel empowered, balanced, and aligned every day. If you’re ready to shift from overwhelm to ease, my £597 programme is the perfect gift to yourself. Let’s make this the season where you reclaim your energy and peace of mind. DM me to book your session or learn more. 🎁 #TracyFance #EmbracingTheEmpath #EmpathHell

This year’s Christmas shopping isn’t like previous years. The reason: Temu. Temu has claimed a significant portion of the market. Too big of a portion, if you ask me. In Denmark alone, Christmas shopping on Temu is expected to reach hundreds of millions of DKK, according to Dansk Erhverv. And with Temu’s products often priced at 1/10th of what similar items cost in local stores, the financial impact on Danish and European businesses is enormous. And honestly, I get why people are buying from Temu. The appeal of low prices is hard to ignore, especially during tough economic times. But here’s why I have to stand against Temu: Temu isn’t playing by the same rules as European businesses: 1. Unfair competition: European businesses are required to follow strict regulations for product safety, quality checks, and other standards. Temu, on the other hand, operates outside these rules, giving them a massive advantage. 2. Tax and economic fairness: Local businesses contribute taxes that support our communities. Temu doesn’t play by the same tax rules, putting even more pressure on European businesses. 3. Ethical concerns: There’s little transparency about how Temu’s products are made. Are they produced under fair working conditions? Are they safe for consumers? There are so many questions to this issue I won't even get started. This issue alone should be a blood red flag for consumers. I’m not blaming shoppers. Temu’s appeal is obvious, and it’s tempting to save money wherever you can. But the real issue lies in the double standards we’ve created. We expect local businesses to follow strict rules that require money, time, and manpower. Yet, when those rules make their products more expensive, we turn to cheaper alternatives that don’t follow the same standards. This isn’t just about competition; it’s about fairness. If we want to support businesses that align with our values, we need to think carefully about where we shop, especially during the holiday season.

Have you started buying Christmas gifts? 🎁 In Europe, the holiday shopping season varies widely by country—each with unique cultural traditions and preferences. Here’s a quick look at when Europeans typically kick off their Christmas shopping: 1. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom – Many start in late October or early November, often spurred by early sales and Black Friday deals. 2. 🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰 Nordic Countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark) – Mid-November is popular, as shoppers anticipate winter weather and prepare early. 3. 🇳🇱 Netherlands – By late November, in time for Sinterklaas on December 5. 4. 🇩🇪 Germany – Mid to late November, with a steady pace through early December. 5. 🇫🇷 France – Late November to early December, though Black Friday is gaining ground. 6. 🇮🇹 Italy – Early December, though last-minute shopping is common. 7. 🇵🇹 Portugal – Early to mid-December. 8. 🇵🇱🇨🇿🇭🇺 Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary) – Mostly late November to mid-December. 9. 🇪🇸 Spain – Often mid to late December, with a surge closer to early January for Día de Reyes (Epiphany). Though Black Friday has nudged shopping dates earlier in many places, December remains the peak month for most. 🎄

Don’t leave your Christmas shopping to the 11th hour. At MOTIF we help you find the perfect gift at the perfect pricepoint. Starting corporate Christmas shopping with our company in August can be highly beneficial for these top 10 reasons: 1. **Better Selection**: Early shopping ensures a wider selection of products before popular items sell out. 2. **Custom Orders and Design**: Allows ample time for customized or personalized gifts, which often take longer to produce. 3. **Less Stress**: Spreads out the workload, reducing the last-minute rush and associated stress. 4. **Budget Management**: Provides more time to manage and spread out the expenses, avoiding a large financial hit in December. 5. **Discounts and Sales**: Early shopping can take advantage of end-of-summer sales and promotions. 6. **Shipping Delays**: Reduces the risk of delays due to the holiday shipping rush, ensuring gifts arrive on time. 7. **Utilize Our Fulfillment**: Allow our team to take the work off your hands for custom bagging and tagging. 8. **Vendor Availability**: Ensures vendors and suppliers have the capacity to fulfill large orders without issues. 9. **Avoiding Inflation**: Buys items before any potential price increases closer to the holiday season. 10. **Focus on Other Tasks**: Frees up time in the busy holiday season to focus on other important year-end tasks and activities. I was in Bratislava last week and all the Christmas decorations are already up. But I saw “Christmas Sale and Christmas Offers” signs in a lot of shops. Why on earth would retailers undercut themselves during the one time of year when people are practically begging to throw money at them? Fear. Fear of being the only shop without a sale sign. It’s a panic move, not strategy. Here’s the psychology….. The truth is most retailers don’t discount during Christmas because they want to. They discount because they’re terrified. Fear is a powerful motivator, and nothing screams full blown terror louder than panicking over your competition instead of building long-term customer loyalty. Luxury brands don’t play this game; they sell exclusivity, not desperation. But most retailers? They hope these discounts will lure consumers into buying full-price items. Spoiler: they won’t. Those discounts aren’t just training customers to wait for a deal, they’re forcing retailers to compete in a never-ending game of who can make the least profit. Nothing says "joy and magic" like a sign shouting, “25% OFF THE MAGIC!” It’s short-sighted at best, at worst it screams of desperation and blind panic. There is a smarter way. Create experiences, not just discounts. Add value instead of lowering the price. But hey, that takes guts, creativity, and patience. And most marketing departments? They’d rather design a “Christmas Offer Campaign” and call it a day. So, Merry Discountmas to us all!
