Below is a map of EV charging stations in Chicago in… 1916! I’m not sure what’s more impressive - the amount of chargers or the fact that they were rated to over 150 amps. It’s interesting to see electric vehicle charging infrastructure from over 100 years ago as we finally return to sustainable methods of transportation. The first electric cars date back as far as the 1830s, with the first commercially viable and rechargeable EVs coming to market in the late 1800s.
