This Memorial Day, Panera’s Salute business resource group is paying tribute to our fallen heroes with a solemn gesture. Throughout May, select bakery-cafes and St. Louis Support Center teams have set up Fallen Soldier Tables — a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by those who serve our country. Each item is carefully placed, representing the emotions and feelings reserved for those who did not return home. Each table is a powerful symbol, reminding us that though they may be gone, those who make the ultimate sacrifice are forever with us in spirit. Salute is committed to acknowledging, appreciating, and advocating for those who have served or continue to serve our country.
For memorial day free pastry item for military.. hmmm. I think management should cover that cost out of their pay...to say thank you. Thank you military for doing your duty and giving your life for others to have a better life. Hopefully they can. Thank you Panera for recognizing our military service fallen for that duty. Memorial day is also about the others. So, honor Jean Dudley for the Panera start. West German raised, lived in Minnesota as a west German consulate.
I am so glad to see this. It's a great reminder to those who may not come from a military background that Memorial Day is not just about shopping, barbecues, and a three day weekend.
How about getting some straws at your Edwardsville IL location! Out of straws the other afternoon. Amateurs!
Bravo Panera.
