Metagenomic Analysis Reveals Bacteria Linked to Gallbladder Cancer! 🦠 Excited to share that Team Bionivid Technology Private Limited has contributed to metagenomics analysis in collaboration with Prof. Vinay Kapoor from Mahatma Gandhi Hospital and Dr. Yasuo Tsuchiya from Niigata University, Japan. Together, we have identified a significant link between specific biliary bacteria and gallbladder cancer (GBC). Using 16S rRNA-based metagenomic analysis, scientists analysed the biliary microbiota in patients with GBC and gallstones-associated chronic cholecystitis.  We look forward to more exciting collaborative efforts ahead! "So with these freeze-dried bacteria that we will eventually encapsulate in gastric-resistant capsules, to give it orally to the patients. We are already working on that and we are testing the safety and efficacy in our animal models. With this one, we expect to reach the clinic by the end of next year.
