Revision in Public Housing Savings Program The Indonesian Government has recently issued Regulation No. 21 Year 2024 (GR-21) on the Implementation of Public Housing Savings ("Tapera"), amending the previously issued Regulation No. 25 Year 2020 (GR-25). This initiative aims to assist employees in purchasing their own homes through a minimal savings program. Key features of the new regulation are: Coverage: The program now includes private sector employees, expatriate workers working in Indonesia for at least six months, and self-employed individuals. Contribution Rates: Employers must contribute 0.5% and employees 2.5% of the monthly salary to the Tapera fund, totaling a 3% contribution.
