When healthcare goes wrong, what do we do? And what do we say?
#OpenDisclosure
It's fair to say these are conversations we would all wish were never needed.
However, when harm does happen in the course of healthcare, it is vital that we use our skills and training to optimise medical care, minimise distress and rebuild trust.
Getting the healthcare right and avoiding further harm is central to this process. How we speak, and, crucially, how we listen are also both important parts of the healing process.
Want to learn more about effective communication skills for Open Disclosure?
Our April evening session is approaching soon, check the link below for me details and to register.
