🌊 Here at Paper Board Alliance a mission we have at heart is supporting young Italian sport talents. One of the athletes we are most proud of is Felice Boselli, a talented windsurfer who achieved amazing results this year! Felice participated in the European games in Torbole, placing in top 10, and beating his own speed record - an incredibile 65km/h! - at the French championships. All of this was possible thanks to the sails he bought with our support. 🏆 Now we prepare to cheer him on at the world cup next September in Denmark. C’mon Felice, you can do it! 🌍 #PBAGroup #sport

The Power of Resilience: Lessons from Femke Bol Femke Bol’s journey from the 2023 World Championships to the 2024 Paris Olympics is a powerful testament to the strength of resilience and determination. At the 2023 Championships, Bol fell just before the finish line in the mixed 4x400m relay, and her team missed out on a medal. A devastating setback. But she didn't let it define her. - Turning Setbacks into Motivation: Bol didn’t let disappointment break her spirit - instead, she channelled it into her training and preparation for the next challenge. - The Comeback: Fast forward to the 2024 Paris Olympics. In a stunning performance, Bol anchored the Dutch team and bolted them into gold medal position in the mixed 4x400m relay, overcoming incredible pressure and fierce competition. This is resilience in action. Bol's victory is a testament to her physical abilities, but also to her mental strength. When we see a performance like this we should be reminded that setbacks are a part of life and it's how we respond to them that both creates and defines success. Resilience, determination, and the refusal to give up are key to overcoming life’s obstacles. Let athletes like Bol inspire you to keep pushing forward, no matter the setbacks. #Resilience #NeverGiveUp #OlympicSpirit

The Olympic program has come a long way since its inception in 1896. Croquet and tug-of-war were once Olympic sports, with croquet making its only appearance in 1900 and tug-of-war returning five more times until 1920. As the world changes, so does the Olympic program. This year, two sports make their Olympic debuts, while several others are making a comeback. Host countries can now nominate one-off events that "enhance the popularity of the Games," ensuring that the program remains fresh and exciting. Celebrate the diversity and evolution of the Olympic program, and keep cheering on your favorite athletes as they strive to be faster, higher, stronger, and yes, even floatier.🏅🌊 #olympics #newsport #oldsport #staypositive #happylaw

What a privilege to share the stage with the Olympic Gold Medalist of Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, a fellow handball player of Greek National Golden Team, Grigoris Chatsatourian, who shared many many pearls of wisdom I happened to have captured on camera, sitting in the front row, and admiring his readiness to share such personal things. What struck me was his message and advice that we ought to bring the best version of ourselves every day, and to everything we do too. Whether it is giving our friends or family members a piece of advice; or tacking a work related task, we must strive to do the best we can; Grigoris believes that attitude and approach ought to become your own standards and lifestyle, and because of that your performance on the pitch will be positively impacted too. I will share a couple of more videos I captured last week at European Platform for Sport Innovation (EPSI) Annual Conference in Olympia in the coming days but this one reminded me of the post I did a couple of years ago on "If You Want to Change the World, Start Off by Making Your Bed", whereby the moral of the story is 'if you make your bed every morning you will have accomplished the first task of the day. It will give you a small sense of pride, and it will encourage you to do another task and another and another. By the end of the day, that one task completed will have turned into many tasks completed.', said US Navy Admiral, William H. McRaven, who delivered a speech about the importance of doing the little things like making your bed, embracing the fears of life, and changing the world for generations to come (see https://lnkd.in/eW9B5eQy). Success does not happen by chance, nor can it be achieved alone; however the attitude and approach we deploy can make all the difference in the end. #EPSI #advice #experience #wisdom #pearls #attitude #success #goldmedal #olympics #athens2004 #olympia Athens 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee International Olympic Committee – IOC International Olympic Academy Helmut Höritsch European Handball Federation

LinkedIn's Most Recommended LinkedIn Marketing Firm, Black Marketing, enhances your personal brand to make you a thought leader & win you new clients. The Only CEO with a Mohawk-Singaporean Entrepreneur-4 Best Seller
Here's a factual point of view that won't be popular in Singapore, Max Maeder is a loser: "Singapore kitefoiler Max Maeder wins Olympic bronze on National Day". There have already been and will continue to be posts on social media and in various Singapore media outlets from ST to CNA saying that our kite foiler, Max Maeder, is a "winner" even though he came 3rd and that we should celebrate this! FACT Check! Nope. He can't be a winner if he came third. Third by definition is not only not a winner but not even a runner up! He's a loser. Do you think Max is calling himself a winner today? If he had self respect and ambition then the answer would be no. Why do we celerate coming 3rd? Is that all that we're good for? 3rd? How many footballers who come 2nd in the league or lose a cup final call themselves winners? None. They know the score. They are losers. They are not winners. There can only be one winner and that was not Max. Next will be the posts that say, "wasn't it amazing for a small country to get bronze", um, no. We offer the 2nd most amount of $ for winning medals of all 200 odd countries at the Olympics. We throw money from the likes of the sycophantic DBS to individuals like Max and previously Schooling, rather than our beleaguered football team, which you will note DBS don't go anywhere near! They know a lost cause when they see one! So it's curious that they will undoubtedly be placing adverts with Max in them as part of their sponsorship saying that he's a winner, when he's not. He is a World Champion and should be applauded as such and he will definitely be an Olympic Champion in the future BUT he is not an Olympic champion today. It's just woke and wrong to say otherwise. Just particpating is not good enough. Winning is all the counts. No one remembers losers, only winners. Hong Kong for example has two gold medalists. They're not mentioning their bronze ones, of which they have double ours, only the winners, their Olympic Champions. So let's not celebrate people losing and let's go for gold and maybe send more than 23 athletes to the games next time? What do you think? Is Max a winner for you or will you agree with me that factually he is in fact a loser and we should face that and not try and cover it up and PR it to say otherwise?

*Cequence 2024 Club Championships* ⚓ Two rounds to go for the SJRU XV's competitions. ✔ Ladders are updated. 🏆 Race is on for various teams to make the Finals. But as a collective the Clubs also compete for the Club Championships. As the SJRU competitions have multiple clubs with differing numbers of teams playing in various 'Graded Comps', the Cequence Club Championship has three levels to compare clubs on a like-for-like basis. These are 🏆 Cequence Big Club Championship (clubs with 6 or more teams) 🏆 Cequence Small Club Championship (clubs with 2 to 5 teams) 🏆 Cequence Single Club Championships (clubs with only 1 team) Points are calculated on the number of competition points each team earns - multiplied by a 'grade' factor depending on what level of competition they are in and then divided by the number of teams the club fields. 📈 Like the Brownlow Medal - clubs that breach set disciplinary standards are deemed ineligible for the Club Champs for that season. ⚖ Congrats to all the clubs and teams and good luck for the last two rounds. A huge thanks to Cequence for supporting these Championships. https://www.cequence.ai/
