Have you checked out any type foundry websites recently? Here is one for you: https://lnkd.in/dSYBv49x I am currently working on a new branding project, and the client doesn't want any fonts listed in Adobe, so my research has begun outside my comfort zone. Some type foundries have really gotten creative in selling their fonts! Selling fonts is hard (let's be honest, who wants to pay for them when you have Google Fonts?!?!), and showcasing them is even more difficult without giving something away. However, the website designed by Gradientic for Type Forward and the font Garet are masterpieces and great examples of how to narrate a story around something as tangible and essential as typefaces.

Google often allows scam websites to appear at the top of their search results. When I challenged them about it, this was their reply: "It’s important to note that in some cases, a query may be actively seeking information that is not from an authoritative source. While we don’t want to expose people to content that they are not looking for, Search is fundamentally a tool that allows access to information on the web. As you can imagine, there are many reasons for someone to be seeking this content in Search – for example, researchers and academics who are studying this type of content may be looking for it. It’s tempting to suggest that we should solve content problems by removing more content. But this approach doesn’t scale to the size of the open web, and it doesn’t align with our mission to maximize access to information.  As we’ve said many times in the past, we do not take the approach of manually intervening on a particular search result to address ranking challenges." When Google can filter out adult content, which you can turn off if you wish, it must surely be possible for its algorithms to filter out badly cloned websites too. The tiny minority that wanted to see these scammers could turn the filters off.

Beware of the overused stock image. Ever said, "where have I seen that before?" Want to see just how often an image is used? Business clichés usually point to the same frustrated, male, developer on a laptop stock photo available.
