As a lifelong New Yorker, the autumn season in The Big Apple always finds a way to pull the baseball fan out in me and with Yankees and Mets both embroiled in pennant races over the past several months it made it even that much more special this year. As a HUGE Mets fan, it's hard to express how grateful I am for such a magical summer despite coming up short in Los Angeles. And, as much as I hate to admit it, 2024 could be a very special year in The Bronx thanks to the resurgence of slugger Giancarlo Stanton leading the Yankees to their first World Series appearance since 2009.
Those who know me know that I've spent over 20 years in the sports industry in different leadership capacities, an achievement that I'm extremely proud of. In my 3+ years at Adobe, I've been fortunate to work on with two of our leading customers, the National Football League and Major League Baseball, as they work to navigate the complex landscape of connecting directly with their fans at scale by revolutionizing fan interaction via the Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). It’s an exciting time to be working in sports and technology as we work to strategically define how best to connect with fans with the right message via the right channel and precisely the right time.
The collaboration with these major sports leagues has been even more significant because Adobe’s range of applications sitting on top of AEP enabled these leagues to provide personalized experiences like in stadium offers and tailored, custom game highlights and features. To date, these tactics have improved aspects of fan engagement from ticket sales and product promotions to creating hyper-relevant dynamic content at scale. The cutting-edge nature of fan connection at the league level was in full display at Summit 2024.
With such great impact and results thus far, I’m excited to continue to see how sports fans will be positively impacted in 2025 and beyond!
