🦓 Last week, on Rare Disease Day, we came together at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard to shine a spotlight on the challenges faced by millions worldwide who battle rare conditions. The event was a powerful reminder of the importance of patients, awareness, understanding, and collaboration in the rare disease community. Inspiration filled the room with talks from many leaders, including Jim Geraghty, Winston Yan, MD, and Sunitha Malepati. It was such an honor to partner with Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard on another successful Rare Disease Day event last Wednesday, Climbing Ladders to Cures in Rare Disease Research. The passion for improving patient lives from every speaker was truly inspiring! It was great to hear from Termeer Scholars and Fellows, Winston Yan, MD PhD, Natalie J. Galant, PhD, & Lukas Lange as well as Termeer Mentor, Jim Geraghty. The turnout for the event was incredible and we were so excited to see such a great representation of the Termeer Network present to support such an impactful event!
