Those who know me are aware I’m a Star Wars nerd – always have been! I think it’s the grand story – of light and darkness, the dilemmas, the unpredictable journey towards becoming what we were meant to be. Of all the learnings, encounters, victories, challenges etc. along the way. In smaller or greater scale, a journey that we are all in the middle of somehow. I’m reminded of a quote where Yoda says to young Luke: "You must unlearn what you have learned. Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.” - The Empire Strikes Back. Outside of the sci-fi film context this quote holds a lot of wisdom; Sometimes we must let go, unlearn in order to become and transcend. We must make definite choices and we must be willing to risk getting it wrong, but we must decide to act with all that is us. That’s part of the human journey that I feel blessed to hold space for; Not quite in such a grand interstellar perspective, but important for the one who’s journey this is. Every person, team or organisation is unique and the impact, possibilities and pitfalls so. I’m looking forward to more encounters, more good challenges and mutual learnings – and who knows; “these may be the droids you are looking for”!
